Knipex StepCut Cable Shears for cutting multi-core stranded copper and aluminium cables. They can also cut solid copper and aluminium cables up to 5 x 4mm². Not suitable for steel wire and hard drawn copper conductors. Made from forged, oil-hardened special tool steel with a chrome plated finish. The cutting edges are additionally induction-hardened, approx. 56 HRC. Cuts without crushing. Noticeably less effort: the gradations cut wires one after the other; cutting is up to 40% easier than with standard cable shears of the same length. Its multi-component grips are VDE tested up to 10,000V and safe for work up to 1,000V. They conform to DIN EN / IEC 60900. The ergonomic handle design provides optimal cutting feel, even for larger cable diameters. A pinch guard prevents operators fingers being pinched.
